life.

We have been busy over the last month and I haven't had a chance to post an update until now...

Here's a quick recap of our life.

In the beginning of August, Charlie recovered from her nasty cold and started feeling much better. But at her 6 month checkup, we found out she now has an ear infection =( Even though she is sick, she is still very bubbly and very happy! Feel better Charlie!!

In August was Ted's wedding. We made the drive up to Bellingham to witness the blessed event. It was a beautiful day for the beautiful couple. Congrats Ted and Wendy!!

Charlie and the Groom...we didn't get a picture of the bride but she was radiant!

Also in August, Grandma and Grandpa Edwards celebrated their 30th anniversary!
Their gift?....Charlie!!

September 1st was Charlie's 6 month birthday and we celebrated by going to the Dr. for shots and starting her on solids. Needless to say, she didn't like the shots or the rice cereal. However, on a brighter note, she did discover her feet and she can now stand with support! She is growing so fast!! Here are her stats at 6 months:
18.5lbs (90th%) 26.7inches (50.75%)
way to grow!!!
what is this?!!!
um,i don't think so...
Charlie would much rather have a glass of water any day.
She LOVES drinking water from a cup!

We recently started Charlie in swim lessons. Minimum age is 6 months and a class just started up this month at the community center. Zeke was so excited to take his daughter to the pool for the first time. Seeing them interact together makes my heart melt! So far, she is having a great time splashing around and playing in the water. We love watching her reactions to these new experiences! There is never a dull moment with this baby!!

Charlie was tuckered out from the pool She passed out on the ride home.

Unlike when Zeke and I were babies, Charlie does not like her car seat very much. Zeke came up with an ingenius idea for one of our longer car rides. He gave Charlie one of my shirts for the ride when she started to get fussy and as soon as she nuzzled her little head against the shirt she fell asleep. Why didn't I think of that?!!

Speaking of sleep, Zeke and I were brave enough to attempt to ferberize Charlie. I had always nursed her to sleep but ever since her ear infection, she has not been very cooperative. Plus, she is getting to the stage where she wants to sit up to every noise. So, we started (*wince) sleep training... The first night was awful! She cried 40 minutes until she finally gave up and fell asleep. I wanted to throw in the towel but Zeke wouldn't let me...so I did what any mother would do... I cried silently outside the door as my daughter was wailing away, pleading for her mommy to come to her rescue. My heart hurt and I felt like the worst mommy in the world but she slept 10 hours that night!! The next night was a breeze. We laid her down and she was out in 2 minutes and slept close to 11 hours that night! I was skeptical at first but now I'm a believer. Ferberize your baby!!! =)

Zeke and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary on the 6th. We celebrated by having a mini getaway at the lake house with the 3 F's (friends, family and food) We even had a cake to commemorate the occasion (thanks to Tammy emo). After the festivities, everyone went home and it was just our little family settling in for the night with a movie. It was the perfect night with my 2 favorite people! It's amazing what can happen in 2 years...We are in such a great place right now and I couldn't imagine that my life would have turned out any other way!
Love you, babe!

To close this long post, here are some random pictures of our precious little girl.
