Here's a quick little recap of our summer so far...
Cousins Galore!
We were fortunate enough to have a few of Zeke's cousins come and visit. They all have little ones and so it was a baby-fest around the house.
Brandon and Emily paid us a visit with their expanding brood over the 4th of July weekend and then the following weekend when Katie and her mini-Shane's were in Seattle for a few days. Charlie got to meet Mollee, Spencer and Colin for the first time. It was fun having them around. I didn't get any pictures but the time spent with them is always filled with great memories. =) ...be sure to bring Shaner the next time you guys come out!
The weekend after Katie's visit, Tyler, Karlee and baby Berkeley made a long journey from Indiana to visit the Edwards family. They planned it so that they would be here when Conner and Kylee were here, too. It was another busy weekend but we had alot of fun catching up. Berkeley is just a couple months older than Charlie so it was fun to see two babies together at different stages of development. Needless to say, both girls are very healthy and happy. Berkeley has such a sweet disposition. The girls had a good time sharing toys and swapping germs. =)
The Lake House
We love the lakehouse! Its a great place to get away and feel like you've been transported to a little vacation spot. While the cousins were visiting, we spent alot of our time BBQing at the lake house and playing in water. We had fun spending time with family and watching Conner do some amazing tricks on the wakeboard. I foresee many more days like this in the future and one day, Zeke will be driving the our little Charlie behind the boat doing tricks like these...
We all know how EVERYONE in the Edwards family likes to go fast...Grandpa is no exception...I'm pretty sure he's the man who started the family's obsession with the need for speed. To get his racing fix, Gpa Rick had a race down in Portland with the Pro3 club. We all headed down to support our Speed Racer # 148 and watch him finish in 2nd!
The cars were so loud, we had to cover Charlie's ears.
and then we found her some ear plugs.
Charlie learned to roll over!
Charlie is growing so fast and learning so much everyday! I set her down on her activity mat so that I could put in a load of laundry and when I came back, she was doing this...
Time with Dad
Zeke has been a busy man lately with school, work and then coming home to his family. There is barely enough time in the day to sit down and enjoy a meal together but he always finds time to spend with Charlie. Their newest activity together is to put her in the Jenny Jump Up. Instead of jumping in it like your supposed to, our little girl likes to eat it.
Charlie also likes to spend time with her Dad surfing the internet and Skyping with her grandparents in Korea. Like I've said a million times already, she is growing so fast and is learning so much everyday! Now she likes to help push the keys and touch the computer screen.
Charlie's first cold.
I don't have any pictures to show for a sick child but all I can say is that I have a very snotty nose daughter or as I like to call her, my snaughter. She's got a runny nose, fever, congestion and now a nasty cough. We go to the Doc today...I hope she gets well soon because Zeke and I are running very low on sleep these days.
Happier times before being sick...
We had such a blast seeing you guys. Charlie so adorable. I love the ear plugs picture. Just think next time we see you guys they will probably be walking and talking.
ReplyDeleteCharlie has the best facial expressions...it makes me laugh! Her and Berkley look cute playing together!
