Home, Sweet Home.

The flight home went really well. It was just Charlie, myself and A LOT of luggage but somehow, we made it! It was so great to see Zeke and the rest of the Edwards clan. We could tell that Zeke really missed his girls and we missed him, too. But, Korea was so much fun!! We sure do miss Halmuni, Halabuhgee and Kimmy Emo! We hope that they will come visit us really soon!! Here are some pictures of our last few days in Korea.

Charlie's 100 day celebration.
As mentioned in my previous post, Charlie celebrated her first 100 days while we were in Korea. In the Korean tradition the first 100 days of a child's life is celebrated because way back when, pediatric care wasn't as advanced as it is today and food was scarce. The tradition goes, if the baby makes it to their 100 day, the child should live on to adulthood. So, in honor of Charlie's Korean heritage, we celebrated Charlie's first 100 days with a photo shoot. Here are a few of my favorites.

Since we have been home, we have been keeping ourselves busy. Charlie met her Uncle Taylor, went to her first M's game with grandpa Rick and celebrated her dad's first father's day.

Mariners Game
Charlie loved the lights in the stadium.
She was a great fan, participated in the wave and watched the M's beat the Chicago Cubs.

Charlie and grandpa are as thick as thieves.

Father's day.
For Zeke's first Father's day, we went to the Museum of Flight. Since he is in the aviation industry, Charlie and I thought that this would be the perfect gift for The pilot in our lives.

Looking smooth there, Captain.

Looks like we may have a future astronaut on our hands.

Uh~ Houston, we have a dirty diaper...

We have been home now for about 2 weeks and adjusting to the time difference has been a challenge for me but it was really hard for Charlie. You would think that it would be rather easy for an infant because they are constantly sleeping throughout the day. Not the case for our little Charlie. She had a sleep routine when we were in Korea and so when we got back to the States, her sleep schedule was all out of whack. She was up until about 3 a.m. and would sleep till about noon. This lasted for about 5 days but now we are back on track. It was tough work sleeping in till noon but someone had to sleep with her. =)

Next up, I have to adjust myself back to work mode. Back to work in 1 week... ugh! What do you think my chances are to win the lottery so that I can stay at home with this little rugrat?!!

  1. Oh man I love all those pix. You are gonna miss that girl so bad when you go to work. The first day you will cry and feel so empty and alone and just feel so bad for leaving her. This continues on for the next week, but then you will start to adjust. Good Luck. I am so glad I am able to stay home now. I love looking at your blog keep it up.
